Overview:

Perfect for placing LCD-TVs, projectors and high-resolution displays on the other side of your boardroom, demo area or home theater.

Displays and LCD-TVs often need to be set up at a distance from the computer, to eliminate noise or to focus attention on the display, among many other reasons.

SuperExtender SL offers a flexible range of cable lengths to extend single-link DVI video cable from 5 to 50 m. SuperExtender DL is identical for single-link and adds the ability to extend dual-link DVI cable from 5 to 30 m.

While SuperExtender cannot be daisy-chained, one can insert DVI Extension Pro and then add a second SuperExtender to reach more than 100 m overall length for single-link DVI video cables in a very economical way.

SuperExtender contains a USB hub but does not perform USB Extension. Standard USB 2.0 Repeaters can be added to perform this function.

Of course the image is displayed in the same pristine quality as you are used to when connecting the display directly to the computer. SuperExtender SL offers this quality right up to the maximum resolution of 1920x1200 pixels or HDTV up to 1080p, while SuperExtender DL adds the same quality for dual-link resolutions up to 2560x1600 pixels (including HDTV).

Compatibility:

SuperExtender SL is compatible with any computer that has a DVI port. Computers without a DVI port can usually be upgraded with a 3rd party graphics card or an adapter like VGAtor.

SuperExtender DL requires a graphics card with dual-link DVI for the resolution of 2560x1600. For lower resolutions up to 1920x1200 it functions like SuperExtender SL, also working with standard single-link DVI cards.

SuperExtender works with virtually all digital DVI displays from 15 - 24" and LCD-TVs with DVI or HDMI ports (DVI-HDMI adapter optional) currently on the market. We have specifically tested all Apple DVI Displays from 15" - 23" (30" for SuperExtender DL) as well as LCD-TVs and DVI displays of other brands up to resolutions of 1600x1200 pixels (4:3) and 1920x1200 pixels (16:10).

HDMI (video only) is supported via optional HDMI-DVI and DVI-HDMI Adapters. SuperExtender also passes through HDCP content protection untouched.

SuperExtender is compatible with all computers with USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 ports. All 3 USB speeds (480. 12, 1.2 MBit/s) are fully supported.

SuperExtender may not be daisy-chained but if one introduces a DVI Extension Pro in the middle one may use two SuperExtender for a total length of ca. 105 m single-link DVI cable (Note: HDCP is not passed through by DVI Extension Pro).
